We’re delighted to be sharing Steph and Sean’s wonderful wedding with you on the blog today! Steph wore the beautiful Maggie Sottero Noelle for their wedding day, which was a happy and colourful Sunflower inspired celebration that took place last month on the island of Kefalonia in Greece.
The Dress
Maggie Sottero Noelle is a romantic, elegant wedding gown featuring a delicate figure hugging form that flares out into a soft tulle skirt. The intricate detail on this gown is just stunning, and it was love at first sight for Steph!
“It was the first dress I tried on and after trying on another 8 or 9, I still knew it was perfect. I had actually seen it online before going to the store. I found that Maggie Sottero had hundreds of beautiful dresses at not hugely expensive prices, so I found Miss Bush and I definitely made the right choice.”
“I brought my Mum as I knew she would be honest if she didn’t like certain dresses. She actually liked all but 1, and totally agreed with my choice. I wanted to take my bridesmaid to the second visit, but she lives in Australia, so she had the wait. Her reaction when she first saw me in the dress in Kefalonia was wonderful, and she looked absolutely beautiful in a lacy blue maxi dress.”
“Throughout the shopping experience we weren’t rushed in the slightest and encouraged to make another appointment and not into making a rush purchase. It was just so chilled and happy, from the first appointment to collection.
When collecting the dress ‘Senior Bush’ helped us so much, it was pouring with rain and she insisted on waiting in the doorway while we brought the car around, she rushed out and helped us hang the dress properly in the back of the car. She also showed us just how to pack the dress in my hand luggage.”
Steph accessorised her gown with a bridal hair vine and matching pearl earrings from Liberty in Love, and chose to wear low heeled sandals.
“I wore Kurt Geiger sandals as I can’t walk in heels, especially on grass! (Sean and I are the perfect height for each other also, so I didn’t want to be the same height as him)”
About the Day
Steph and Sean wanted warmth and sunshine for their wedding, so a wedding overseas was a must for them! It was a special, intimate occasion, with 29 of their close friends and family with them to help them celebrate.
Steph tells us more;
“The main inspiration was sunflowers, as I always call Sean my sunflower, as he is so upbeat and positive and sunny all the time. Sean’s favourite colour is blue so our colours were yellow and blue to match the amazing scenery.”
“My favourite part of the day was definitely walking up the aisle and seeing Sean, I knew all that stress was 100% worth it. He looked so so gorgeous and from that moment (sounds cheesy I know) but I knew everything would go perfectly.”
“Second was the Greek dancing! We booked a Greek Band and Donna, our wedding planner told us ‘they really get people going’, we thought that just meant they were great to dance to, but no! The incredible Greek singer dragged people out of their seats and made us round in circles for hours! It was absolutely hilarious, everyone was so hyped up they were immediately dancing when the DJ started at 11pm.”
“The food was also incredible, something there for everyone, you really can’t go wrong with a deluxe bbq! Also unlimited drinks was very important, we didn’t want anyone to have to pay anything, especially after they paid so much to be there with us.”

Final words
Finally, some words of wedding planning advice from our bride, Steph;
“Don’t get stressed out by the little things. The most important thing is you are marrying the man you love!
Also, on the day try to eat a few canapés before you go off for photos, otherwise there will be none left!!”
