With autumn in full swing, we’re day-dreaming of warm sand and sea, fuelled by these gorgeous images from our bride Sarah’s stunning Italian wedding. Sarah wore a stunning customised Suzanne Neville Grosvenor wedding dress for her wedding to husband Harry, which took place in Tuscany in June last year.
The Dress
Sarah’s dress was an incredible customised version of Suzanne Neville Grosvenor, a beautiful tulle and lace gown with full skirt, fitted bodice and delicate lace cap sleeves.
Sarah tells us more about her dress shopping experience;
“Choosing my dress took me forever! I always saw myself in a Jenny Packham number but in the end I chose a stunning Suzanne Neville dress which we customised to have an extra long train. I felt amazing in my dress, it was so comfortable and I couldn’t get enough of my silk skirt.”
“We had lots of fun trips to the Chapel and each time I brought my sister and mum with me. I always couldn’t wait for my next appointment so we could all get together and have a good laugh.
As soon as I tried this one on both my mum and sister looked at each other and said ‘Yes! That is definitely the one'”
“Emma and The Miss Bush team have an incredible eye, they can take one look at you and immediately know what type of shape and style will suit you.
I loved trying on all the different styles and speaking/collaborating with the team to create my perfect dress. At no point did I feel like finding my dress was a chore, it was always exciting and fun!”
“The chapel is a gorgeous and unique space, as soon as you step inside you are made to feel at home.”
Sarah added a touch of sparkle to her glamorous bridal look with a pretty Jenny Packham belt, and an iconic pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes.
About the Day
Sarah and Harry’s day was an amazing destination wedding filled with stunning Tuscan scenery and beautiful Italian architecture, taking place over two days for a serious lavish celebration! Their guests were treated to luxurious styling and throughout, with delicious food and signature cocktails flowing all weekend.
Sarah tells us more;
“On the Friday evening, we were inspired by our favourite book and film the Great Gatsby. All guests were dressed in 1920s attire, and I created decorations to emphasise the 1920s theme. We used large white plumes on glitter table cloths and centre pieces of simple white roses in vases filled with pearls. We also created our own ‘wedding cocktail’ for the evening, the ‘Speakeasy’, which was very popular. Our wedding reception was inspired by a combination of old Italian glamour, the beach and a small dash of the Hamptons.”
“We wanted the wedding setting to feel relaxed and I wanted everywhere to be covered in flowers. I achieved the the Italian glamour with my dress, our vintage Italian car and my bridal bouquet which was all sweet pea. To incorporate the beach I included small touches, candles made especially for us by Bella Bougie with a scent of seashells, white starfish in the base of my centre piece vases and on the door of the bathrooms I had signs separating the men and women – Mermaids and Salty Dogs!”
“Harry has said his favourite part of the day was seeing me in my dress for the first time. For me its so hard to pick just one part of the day. I had a great time getting ready with my mum and bridesmaids, after the ceremony being in the town square dancing with the local buskers, the whole reception being on the beach was amazing, the fireworks, the food and dancing the night away!”
