Laura Caudery mini-dynamo, new mother, fashionista.
I don’t know where she gets her energy from but she is managing to play the finest game of Wedding Top Trumps I have ever seen. Laura’s family business is property and I don’t mean a few student lets. I mean big, beautiful houses with murals by Lageurre. Following her own stylish nuptials and a career in fashion Laura has turned her considerable talents to launch a new wedding venue.
Not for her a few handouts and plastic roadside banners. Begone concepts of wedding packages and corporate styling. Disappear matching napkins and bridesmaids. Fetchams Park is being launched as a wedding venue with a hand picked list of designers, stylists, caterers, cocktails and collabarations drawn together by Laura’s precise and unwaivering eye for talent and style.

To prepare ourselves for this event ‘we’ the evergrowing team organised a shoot over the Bank Holiday weekend. The team included 8 eight models, 2 beautiful child models, 4 photographers, 1 filmmaker, 3 vintage cars, 3 wardrobe, 2 MUAs, 2 hair, 1 Wedding Reporter, 2 fine jewellers, 3 wedding cakes, 2 florists 12 2012 new season dresses, 3 vintage dresses, 10 spare dresses, 3 mini-bridesmaids dresses, boxes of adult bridesmaids and more fabulous sparkly things than you can shake a stick at, caterers, cup-cakers.
Then there was Laura, Penny from Tigerlily and me.
That’s a big list – how many of us had organised an editorial shoot before? About 3 – not including Laura or I.
Were we mad? Yes
Did it work?Yes
What – every shot? Well no, not every shot
What it did was to bring together a fantastic team from very well established contributors to absolute new kids on the block. Huge bridal fashion names from Jenny Packham & Suzanne Neville, established planners and designers like Penny from Tigerlily and Elbie Van Eeden to new ventures like EFC Photography.
Guess What ?
This is just the beginning …
