Hello! We’re transporting you to London for today’s real wedding, for a highly luxurious event, set in two stunning venues!
Nicki and Jonathan were married at the breathtakingly epic New West End Synagogue, followed by a reception at chic London hotel The Berkeley, and are our second couple this week to have met over the Internet – this time via Tinder!
About the Dress
Nicki chose Londyn by Maggie Sottero, a sheath wedding gown in exquisite lace with scalloped neckline, and illusion lace back, which was the ideal choice for her glamorous, romantic London wedding.
Nicki says;
“I brought my step mum and a very close family friend. It was lovely to have them both by my side. They were unanimous in their decision, as was I! I think there may have even been a tear or two.”
“I had been recommended to Miss Bush by one of my bridesmaids, who got her dress at Miss Bush too. I loved how relaxed Corinne made me feel. It’s a daunting task finding a dress (especially with a 5 month lead time) but Miss Bush seemed to just alleviate any stress and made the whole experience fun, whilst making me feel confident we had enough time!
The shop had such a great selection of dresses and I probably tried on about 10/12. I felt confident that I didn’t really need to go elsewhere or shop around as Miss Bush have such a cross section of dresses, both in style and price point.”
Nicki accessorised her dress with a a simple veil to complement the intricate lace detailing of her gown, plus shoes from Charlotte Mills and a selection of beautiful rose gold jewellery to compliment the vintage rose underlay of the dress.
About the Day
Whilst the setting for the wedding ceremony and party were quite formal, Nicki and Jonathan wanted to ensure the day didn’t feel too stuffy, but was relaxed and fun, and judging by their images they got it spot on and they and their guests had a fabulous time!
“The theme of the wedding was wild luxe! Luxurious but wild in every sense! The inspiration for the theme came from Carla Gottlieb, my florist at Grace and Thorn…she’s ace! The colour palette was rose gold and grey.”
Final Words
Some final words of wedding wisdom from Nicki…
“What’s for you won’t go by you – don’t over think anything & trust your gut!
Don’t panic buy a couple of weeks before the wedding – step away from the computer! 😉
Surround yourself with a good team – I was lucky to have a great team of suppliers. I miss chatting to them on a daily basis!
Don’t be afraid to delegate and don’t get too bogged down by small details.
Most importantly have FUN!”
