Today’s wedding is a delightful Sussex country house wedding that took place in August this year, with our beautiful bride Georgina wearing Sassi Holford Georgia to marry her husband Will.
Georgina and Will’s day was a picturesque, traditional day enhanced by tons of stunning fresh flowers, subtle elegant styling and sweet personal details to make their day extra special.
The Dress
Sassi Holford Georgia was Georgina’s dress of choice, which features a romantic full skirt, sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice and nipped in waist. Georgina customised her gown with an intricate, lacy overlay with mid-length sleeves and an elegant low back.
Georgina tells us more;
“I chose Sassi Holford’s beautiful Georgia dress with simple organza. I then also picked a lace pattern and had a bespoke lace overlay designed for me, which I adored. I was then able to take it off in the evening and put a glitzy belt around my waist to add some glamour for the party.”
“I had my Mum and sister with me for the dress appointment. I think they also knew exactly what I was looking for so when I tried the Georgia dress on they both gave me a knowing look and we were all extremely excited!”
“I really valued Emma’s honesty and sincere advice throughout. Unlike other places I had visited, I could tell instantly that the whole experience would be luxurious,personalised and most importantly fun. My Mum, sister and I would look forward to returning to the chapel for each appointment as we loved hearing Emma’s stories and appreciated her sense of humour.”
Georgina kept her look simple and classic, accessorising her Sassi Holford Georgia wedding dress with LK Bennett shoes and a shoulder length ribbon trimmed veil, with the addition of a sparkly belt later on to add a touch of glamour for the evening celebrations.
About the Day
Georgina and Will were married at Boxgrove Priory, West Sussex, followed by a reception at Goodwood House. The subtle, elegant styling was perfectly matched to the luxurious surroundings of their venue, creating an effortlessly stylish and timeless wedding day.
Georgina tells us more about their vision for the day;
“I had always pictured a really English traditional setting when I imagined my own wedding day & I could visualise the type of wedding dress I wanted before I even started looking for it. Once Will & I had visited our venue Goodwood House, the one and only venue we looked at, I could start to really build the look and feel of the day in my mind and enjoy the job of translating it into reality!”
“I have so many fabulous memories to look back on but I have to say the few minutes I had at Goodwood House just before I set off to church was an important part for me as I was all ready in my dress, I could feel the beautiful sunshine on my skin & I had the whole day ahead of me…the beauty of Goodwood just hit me in that moment. My father then drove me in his classic car to the church and although it was a short journey, I will never forget those precious moments, just the two of us together. He said some lovely words to me that I will always remember.”
Final Words
Some words of wedding planning advice from our bride;
“Definitely don’t rush into agreeing to buy a dress at your first appointment – it’s best to spend some time really thinking about it before committing to it. I had visited some other bridal shops before my Miss Bush appointment so I had already had time to work out what I wanted and didn’t want.”
