We have another beautiful Italian wedding to share with you today! Emma & Salv were married at the stunning Castello Monaci in Salice Salentino, Puglia, in June this year, with Emma’s Maggie Sottero Yvette wedding dress looking right at home amongst the incredible scenery and grand architecture.
The Dress
Emma wore Maggie Sottero Yvette, which she styled with a Jesus Peiro 5016 skirt over the top and a Suzanne Neville ‘Mimosa’ belt, creating a customised version of the gown that became her dream wedding dress!
Emma tells us more;
“I could try any dress on I liked, I think I tried about 8-10 and I have to be honest all my choices were so wrong. Until Emma picked me out the perfect look for the perfect wedding. I truly cannot thank her and the fabulous team enough for making me feel like a princess.”
“The chapel is gorgeous and I think every girl could find her perfect match here. The prosecco was a lovely touch and I didn’t feel rushed at all. I think I ended up staying for nearly 2hrs!”
Emma kept her look simple, with a sleek updo finished with a Jenny Packham Acacia crystal headband and some earrings gifted to her by her husband-to-be.
“Less is more and always my approach. I simple wore diamond studs which were my wedding present from Salv (wasn’t expecting them so I was rather emotional) and after I had my makeup done. I also borrowed a floor length veil which was plain but I only wore this for the ceremony as it didn’t want to stay in. I also wore a diamond tennis bracelet.”
About the Day
Emma and Salv’s wedding was a luxurious but relaxed day, filled with luscious blooms, elegant styling and beautiful music throughout, with good food and wine flowing to make sure that all of their guests had a wonderful time.
“We always said we would get married in Italy but we only discovered the beautiful castle in Puglia once we started to research. Weather, food and good wine were all on our list and this ticked every box.”
“Then we agreed on the theme which was blush pinks, sparkle with blue hues. We wanted a relaxed wedding in a beautiful setting and that is exactly what we got!”
“It was all so amazing but I would have to say the fireworks were my favourite part of the day! We managed to keep it top secret and they went off after the sparklers and cake cutting. The song they played was ‘That’s Amore’ which was very well received.”
Final Words
Some final words of wedding planning advice from our bride, Emma;
“Don’t feel disheartened when the style you always dreamed of doesn’t look good on you. You will find ‘the one’ just like you found your man.”
“Enjoy all the planning and make sure you give yourself plenty of time. I found pinterest very useful to collate ideas. If you’re getting married abroad definitely get a wedding planner from the region.”
