Dani & Matthew were married in Hampshire earlier this year in an elegant, rustic luxe wedding at the stylish contemporary Rivervale Barn in Yateley. We’re thrilled to share the images with you today by Senior Mac, which reflect their beautiful, happy day and show off Dani’s stunning Jesus Peiro wedding dress wonderfully.
THE DRESS
Dani wore 7008 by Jesus Peiro, an incredibly stylish lace and silk wedding gown featuring a full skirt with pockets and a stunning lace bodice with an open scalloped lace back. It’s a fresh, contemporary take on a lace wedding dress, and a dress with pockets is always a bonus!
Dani tells us more about her choice;
“The dress that I finally chose was a Jesus Peiro, it was absolutely stunning and I loved all of the detail and the structure. Emma entertained my initial thoughts of a tight-fitting lace dress, but when the curtain was drawn back, it just was not what I was expecting. That’s where it all changed. Emma just got me. Within 20 minutes of meeting me, she had sussed out my style and what would work best for me. It is this direction that I could not be more thankful for! I tried on about 5 different Jesus Peiro dresses, but the one that I ultimately chose gave me that bridal feeling that I had been searching for!”
“My mum had been with me since day one of the search for the One. I will never forget my mums face when I stepped out into the Chapel, a wall of emotions hit me and her and we just looked at each other and knew. I do have a confession though, wedding planning is stressful and be aware of dress doubt, it can happen! About a week later after my initial appointment, I had bridal dress confusion and another dress threw itself into the frame. Emma was amazing and managed to have this dress sent to the Chapel so that I could try both dresses on the same day. This time I took reinforcements, being the Bridal party! I tried on the ‘imposter’ dress first which got approval, but as soon as the Jesus Peiro made an appearance, there were tears, hugs and smiles and even a raise of the glass of Champagne! Dress doubt had been kicked out the door, I was to be married in a Jesus Peiro and I could have not been happier!”
“My favourite part of the dress shopping experience was coming to Miss Bush and being allowed to swish around the Chapel in stunning dresses! The Chapel is beautiful and makes the whole experience one of a kind, I loved how your appointment was just yours only and that you did not have to share the space with anyone else. All of the Bush Team are so wonderful and knowledgeable, I could not have placed my dress decision in safer hands. I am definitely going to miss my visits to the Chapel.
I kept my accessorises simple yet elegant, the dress did not need much more to make a statement. Emma accessorised me with a simple train length veil. I chose a Debbie Carlisle hair vine with Swarovski crystals, Shoes from Freya Rose with lace to match the dress with a pearlised heel and jewellery from Carat, London.”
ABOUT THE DAY
Riverdale Barn is a modern bespoke wedding venue on the border of Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey. The airy, elegant purpose-built barn makes the perfect blank canvas and was the ideal setting for Dani and Matthews contemporary, rustic luxe wedding day.
Dani tells us more;
“Rivervale Barn was built with weddings in mind and the layout made our day run seamlessly. The barn had beautiful oak panelling and beams throughout with cathedral style windows, with a stunning courtyard and beautiful gardens, we knew that this was the place where we would say Yes! surrounded by our closest family and friends.”
“I loved the idea of using a Barn for our wedding, we visited a few venues but Matthew actually found Rivervale Barn. As soon as I walked through the doors, I was so overwhelmed that I knew that this had to be the place! The Barn is so beautifully constructed that it was venue that inspired the feel of the day and I left it to do most of the talking! I pulled the whole venue together by implementing a rustic glamour theme and bringing the idea of the outside in. We hired 2 large silver birch trees to frame the entrance to the ceremony room, complete with bouquets, posies, centrepieces and sprays of sunflowers, roses and gypsophila to bring colour and focus.”
“My favourite part of the day was finally meeting Matthew at the end of the aisle, it seems so cliche but it was then that all the pre-wedding nerves melted away, and for a moment it was just the two of us. The ceremony was beautiful and at the end when we were handed the marriage certificate, the Registrar remarked that she would have given it to me for safe keeping but unfortunately I do not have pockets…a shining moment for the dress when I simply remarked that I did and demonstrated to everyone… I do not think the Registrar has ever seen a bridal dress with pockets and I may have ruined her punchline!”
FINAL WORDS
Some wedding planning and dress shopping advice from our bride, Dani;
“My words of wisdom for choosing the dream dress is be aware of bridal dress doubt, it CAN happen, but trust the Miss Bush ladies, they are completely amazing! Be open to designs that you have not even considered, they suit you better than you think. Make sure you get that Bridal feeling, it definitely does exist, but also think practicality, you are going to be in your dress the whole day…can you breathe, eat, walk, sit and dance?”
“With regards to wedding planning in general, ideas and thoughts come to you in the most random moments, write them down. Save ideas, cuttings and photos, sketch your visions out take them with you when you see suppliers. Make sure you find suppliers who share your vision and work with you to create your ideal day. Most importantly, take some time out for you. Give yourself some time off from all the planning and decisions and return back to it fresh and ready!!”
