Every Thursday, so my techno youngsters inform me, we are to delve in the Miss Bush archives for a phenomena called Throwback Thursday.
I have recently been scouring through 26 years of Thank You cards and single prints that were, for so long, our only insight into how the wedding day went. I realise now how fantastic the digital age has been for bringing us ringside at weddings.
Clare’s wedding was one of the first featured on the blog three years ago. Why has Clare’s wedding stayed with me? Reader, look at her! I have a mixed bag of girl emotions that start with pride and wonder and then end up somewhere near criticising my DNA.
Loseley Park, one of Surrey’s pre-eminent venues, provided the backdrop for one of the most memorable set of photos I have seen. Clare, her dress, the styling, location and the all-round glamour just blew me away.
Classic? Yes. Predictable? No. Asymmetry, minimalism, colour, understatement and just out-and-out beauty. I am still swooning three years on.
