Today we’re delighted to share Catherine and James’ wonderful wedding which took place right here in Ripley at the Talbot Inn Hotel, just down the road from the Miss Bush chapel! The images are by brilliant Surrey photographer Fi Digby Jones.
Catherine wore Maggie Sottero Londyn for their relaxed, intimate wedding. The Londyn dress is an exquisite sheath wedding dress covered from top to toe in delicate floral lace, with the prettiest scalloped lace neckline.
Catherine tells us about finding her dress;
“It was the first one I tried on! Was everything I thought I wanted in a dress but in actual fact when I put it on it was more!!!! Felt like I was in a dream on the day and have had so many lovely comments about the dress it makes me even prouder of it! It remains on its hanger in front of my bed as I just can’t bare not to look at it!
My mum and sister sat down all ready for a show and a coffee but we all agreed the first one was it!! Show over!”
“The team at Miss Bush advised me that our first choice of bridesmaid colour dress would not work well with my dress and they were absolutely right- washed the dress out! Followed their advice and went with a primary Royal Blues which pleased my husband as he wanted a Chelsea football table plan so it all worked out very well all round!
I chose a beautiful veil to give me more impact when walking down the aisle and very delicate jewellery and vintage pretty shows to compliment the dress.”
Catherine and James’ day was a beautiful, relaxed day packed with personal touches and thoughtful details to make it meaningful and special.
“We wanted our wedding to be personal from every aspect! Everything we picked was because it’s what we liked/meant something in some way and this then became a theme in its own right as oppose to choosing theme first and then making choices to suit it! We wanted our wedding to be unique, relaxed and fun!
The ceremony was my favourite part of the day – our emotions blew us away – we never imagined we would find it so meaningful and emotional. The speeches were absolutely fantastic and had the whole room roaring with laughter! The band performed during desert and took everyone by surprise – would not have been the same if we hadn’t added this fun touch!”
