We’re off to Italy again today, for Carolina and Jeremy’s beautiful wedding on the Liguria coast. Carolina wore Jesus Peiro 5021 for their big day, which took place in June this year and was inspired by the brides Italian heritage and their stunning location.
The Dress
Jesus Peiro 5021 is a stylish, contemporary wedding gown made from mikado fabric, featuring a full structured skirt and simple clean cut neckline, nipped in at the waist with a sparkling embellished belt.
Carolina customised hers with the addition of a bow to the back and an extension to the diamante belt, also switching the square back of the gown to a deep plunging v back.
Carolina says;
“I brought my mum and one of my sisters with me to my first appointment. We knew Miss Bush very well as all five of my sisters found their wedding dresses at the shop (with Emma) and we were very confident that Emma would work her magic for me too!”
“Needless to say, my mum and sister were thrilled when I also found my dream dress at Miss Bush, they loved the dress as much as I did and commented how comfortable and happy I looked in the dress which further confirmed it was The One!”
“It was very special to me to be able to follow the family tradition and find my dress there. We felt really comfortable and relaxed with Emma and she totally got the look I was going for, she even did my hair for me in a “1950s debutante” style that she thought would go well with the dress, and I ended up using this look on the day thanks to her!
It was really comforting to know I was in such capable hands with Emma and Miss Bush.”
“The Jesus Piero dress featured a belt, which I “pimped up” by adding diamantes all the way around and a big bow at the back.”
“I also wore a Jenny Packham hairband (Crystal Opal Gazelle), and borrowed my bridesmaid’s veil that she had purchased from Miss Bush last year for her own wedding. I wore gold sandals from Dune and minimal jewellery.”
About the Day
The wedding took place at the Church of San Rocco di Camogli followed by a reception at the Cenobio dei Dogi Hotel.
Carolina and Jeremy tell us more about their day;
“Carolina’s Italian heritage was a big inspiration for the location and feel of the day. In terms of style, we wanted it to be simple, elegant and classic/ timeless, which was particularly reflected in our pared back invitations, all-white flowers and the clean lines of Carolina’s dress.”
“We loved every part of the day, from the ceremony in the beautiful church to dancing until the early hours with our guests. One of Jeremy’s highlights was seeing Carolina’s veil fly past the church door while waiting to enter (it was very windy!) – he knew then that she was waiting outside and ready to begin the ceremony!”
“Carolina’s favourite part was the speeches, the groom’s and father of the bride’s speeches both struck a brilliant balance of being entertaining and heartfelt/ sentimental and Carolina’s mum and niece (who is 9 years old and was one of our flower girls) also did speeches which were very special moments!”
