We have got such a treat for you today! These images from Alice and Tom’s wedding day are so stunning, and are just blown away by how incredible Alice looks in her Jesus Peiro 5055 two piece wedding separates.
Alice and Tom were married in July this year at St Nicolas Church Great Bookham, the church were Alice’s parents, aunt and sister were married, followed by a reception at Ridge Farm Studios in Capel.
The Dress
Jesus Peiro 5055 is an elegant, delicate wedding two peice, featuring an intricate lace capped sleeved bodice with illusion lace to the exposed waistband, gently flaring out into a lace and tulle A-line skirt.
Alice tells us about finding her dress;
“I choose the Jesus Peiro two piece 5055. It was the first dress I tried on and I adored it. I hadn’t picked the dress out as one to try but Emma found it and asked that I try it on. I came back a number of times as I was particularly taken by a number of dresses by Jesus Peiro. In the end I choose this one as I felt it fitted my personality and style of wedding more than the others. I really liked the idea that it was a top and a skirt and in fact this ended up being the best thing I ever did. In the evening I was able to dance and move with no restrictions.”
“I first found the dress with my Mum and Sister. As we left the first appointment this was the dress that we kept talking about. I wasn’t ready to make a decision after my first appointment so went and tried on a few other dresses at other bridal stores. Despite liking a few other designs nothing matched up to the feeling I had when wearing Jesus Peiro nor did it match up to the experience I had at Miss Bush. I realised that not only did I want ‘that’ dress but I also wanted to get my dress through Emma because she had made the experience feel so special.”
“My Mum and Sister know me better than anybody and it was fitting that they were the ones that almost knew the dress was ‘the one’ before I did. I went back with them and my future mother in law. When I tried the dress on with the veil and stood by the chapel doors of the shop we all welled up and knew it had to be this dress- luckily my bridesmaids agreed when they saw it!”
“Emma made the experience feel relaxed and exciting. I really felt like she made the effort to get to know me, my future husband (despite not meeting him) and the vibe of the wedding. Entering the Miss Bush shop each time was like entering a magical world and I loved the feeling I got there. The whole experience of finding a dress at Miss Bush was perfect. I only wish I could have chosen more as there were so many spectacular dresses.”
“I added a cashmere wrap round cardigan also by Jesus Peiro, which I wore later on in the evening. I knew I wanted to wear a full length veil with a blusher but found it tricky to find the exact one I wanted. The tulle material on my skirt was very delicate and we decided that having this would be the best option for my veil. Miss Bush ordered a length of this fabric and made the veil for me. I borrowed a beautiful headpiece from a family friend which also worked as my something borrowed. I then wore a pair of diamond and aquamarine earrings that my husband gave me as a present on the day. This worked as my something blue and was ideal as I wanted to leave my neck bare so that the straight neckline of the dress stood out.”
About the Day
Alice and Tom’s day was the perfect combination of laid-back country chic, and elegant garden party glamour.
Alice tells us more;
“We both wanted traditional elements of a wedding but with a relaxed feel. The style and theme of the day evolved over time towards – country wedding meetings 1920s glamour. Our bridesmaids wore sequin tops and our vases and candles were the mercury style yet our flowers were very relaxed and loose. I was inspired by my favourite colour pallet- duck egg blue, grey/blue, blush pink and used this as a main basis.
Our predominant aim was for us and our guests to have a really good party!”
“We were very hands on and made a lot of things ourselves which created a lovely touch and personal feel. Tom created a large seating area out of pallet furniture as well as a Photo Booth. We spent months collecting different photograph frames and then up cycled them with chalk paint and used this for signs within the wedding venue. His mother sourced and arranged all the flowers with the help of family and friends.”
“I loved the entire day from start to finish, as did my husband. We had a friends choir sing in the church as I walked down the aisle which was very moving and special. They also sung ‘Love shine a Light’ while we signed the register which created a superb upbeat feel before we left the church.
All the speeches were marvellous and my husband re-wrote the words to ‘ Grow Old with You’ from the Wedding Singer which he performed to many tears while his brothers re-wrote and sung The Beatles classic ‘She Loves you’ to end their speeches.”
“The evening party was marvellous. The decorations really came to life with the glitter balls, disco lights and pom poms creating such a cool effect. I remember dancing with Tom and looking around feeling immensely proud at what we had achieved.”
Final Words
Some words of wedding planning advice from our bride, Alice;
“In terms of finding a wedding dress make sure you listen to the experts. Emma clearly knew which dress would be ‘the one’ before I had even spotted it on the peg!
Enjoy the planning processes and try to relax on the day. I was so anxious that I would be too exhausted from the preparations leading up to the wedding that I wouldn’t actually enjoy the day itself. I made sure I was strict the night before the big day and despite not sleeping I didn’t look at the clock once which helped me feel relaxed and calm!”
