For the uninitiated Mrs Caudery has more than one house. For those returning to earth after a deep space mission who have yet to meet Laura Caudery, or be subject to her charm offensive, let me outline her position in the wedding industry.
Laura decided to quit fashion and return to the family firm – broadly speaking property. Amongst the portfolio of property are two grand houses, Fetcham Park in Surrey and Cams Hall in Hampshire. Caudery set about launching as wedding venues. It only took two years from the glittering Fetcham Park debut for Laura to win a Perfect Wedding Award for services to the wedding industry. Her greatest contribution, as I would define it, is throwing the industry over her knee and giving it a darn good spanking. Figuratively speaking. For my obsequious support of her nomination for a Perfect Wedding Award please click here.
Having being unable to turn down the Siren’s plea to help launch Fetcham Park I have now had the slightly deafening clarion call to Cams Hall. If any other person asked me to rustle a Miss Bush presentation in 10 days I would be asking them to pick a window. Caudery is, somewhat irritatingly, remarkable. So much so that you just HAVE to step up when you get the call.
The initial team that came together under the guidance of Mrs C have gone on to create defining events, outstanding shoots and close creative and collaborative bonds.
A short 40 miles down the A3 from Miss Bush the lepidopterist that is Laura has some beautiful new butterflies to show & tell to wedding world. I will be styling our house models, showing off the 2014 Jenny Packham collection & bringing some of our award-winning Brides the Show pieces, with some very special offers for brides to be. For the trade it will be chance to meet and reflect on the past season and anticipate the new trends for 2014.
If you have nothing to do next Thursday 7th November join Miss Bush at our seaside stately home that is Cams Hall. If you have something planned then simply rearrange your timetable. Much like the Beatles at the Cavern Club or the Sex Pistols at The 100 Club this is somewhere you will want to say you were. (Ok – there may be free food and drink too!)
If there is any chance you may think that Laura sounds a bit too lucky & possibly a bit pushy and you may be wondering why I should be so supportive I will run a little Kipling past you. If you thought of a Fondant Fancy then I forgive you…
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
I shall be joining forces with Paula Rooney Weddings & Event Florist for the first time and be shall be sharing and experimenting with wedding photographer Angela Ward Brown with her fine art tintype portraits. Much excitement at Bush HQ about these two collaborations. Check out tintypes at Angela’s website Wild Aesthetic here. In addition much mingling will happen!
Have I piqued your interest? Aroused your curiosity? Did I mention the free drink…
