Wedding geek or style obsessive? Either description would suit me perfectly. Therefore the first thing I did when I opened my eyes this morning was to trawl through social media feeds to find images from the New York runways from some of the big names.

First up Vera Wang. Surprises were few & far between. The safe but stylish monochrome palette has become her trade mark. I actually love this contrast look but the cutting of this collection is far from revolutionary & verges on clunky.

Marchesa stuck to their signature ruffles & frou. Pretty, but the look doesn’t cross the Atlantic well. Us Brits are a little afraid of excess which means whilst they look fab on a catwalk they would be condemned in store for being meringues.

My little style surprise came from a label called Theia. I will hold my hands up and say I had never heard of the brand. But a good-looking male designer, some preppy neat dresses and plenty of blush turned my head.theia2 theia3 theia3b theia4 theia7 theia-last
