Today we’re delighted to share Miss Bush bride Nancy’s stunning Italian wedding with you! Nancy and Robin were married at the Belmond Villa San Michele hotel in Florence; the breathtaking Italian setting made the perfect backdrop for their special day.
THE DRESS
Nancy chose to wear Maggie Sottero ‘Londyn’, an exquisite floral lace sheath wedding dress with a scalloped lace neckline and illusion lace back.
Nancy says;
“This was the first dress I tried on in Miss Bush and instantly loved it. I wanted something quite fitted but not too heavy as we knew it was going to be hot in Florence in August. I also wanted something with lace to fit with the Italian theme. The dress also had a blush undertone which fit with the colour scheme of the wedding. I also really like the detail in the dress and being petite, the way it fitted.
I loved how even though we had found a dress I really liked Emma tried loads of different styles with us. I liked how honest Emma was as well saying what tended to work and what didn’t work.”
About the day
Nancy and Rob wanted an intimate wedding with their closest family and friends around them, and chose to do it in Italy for a truly memorable weekend.
Nancy says;
“The venue was the most important part – we really wanted somewhere completely different. We put lots of Italian touches to our wedding and tried to plan from the moment the guests got there on the Friday night until the Sunday when everyone left.
My favourite part of the day was the speeches which we had overlooking the Florence skyline at sunset. My dad doesn’t like public speaking but did a great job, as did Rob and our best man.
The best part of the wedding as a hole was that everyone got to know each other being away all weekend together. So by the time everyone left, different groups of people were really good friends.”
